Fort Collins, CO couple living the life of their dreams.
When I met Brian Whetstone and his wife Sheryl at Beau Jo’s in downtown Fort Collins, it was easy to see that they were fully enjoying life here on the Front Range.
“Before we go any further, let’s order a Mountain Pie!”, Brian quipped as I met them at an outside table. “This is the life, Mountain Pie’s and the warm sunshine of Fort Collins,” Sheryl quipped.
So why Fort Collins? You both are from the North East originally so what brought you West?
“My affinity for great beer!”, Brian proclaimed, only half-joking. We first visited the area back in 2004 and when we arrived back home in Pennsylvania we couldn’t stop talking about how great it would be to live there and spend our time doing whatever we wanted, Sheryl adds.
Nice idea but few people actually get to achieve their true goals and desires in life, so how did you get here, I asked.
It’s certainly been a long journey but I guess it started back in 2012 when I was looking for a way to make more money that would allow Sheryl to retire from her job,” Brian stated. “I knew if we continued on the path we were heading that we would live a life of “what if” and neither of us wanted that.
“I’ve always believed that old adage that if you help enough people get what they want in life, then you will get everything you want,” Brian continued. “I found a home based business that allowed me to do just that and help 1000’s of people reach their financial goals.”
“Sheryl and I love animals and we knew we wanted to open a rescue shelter for dogs, but it wouldn’t have been possible if I hadn’t really developed my definite major purpose in life. Once I discovered that and began to focus, life got a lot easier and better!”, Brian added.
“While the business Brian started back in 2012 allows us to live a life of liberty and autonomy, it is really more than that,” Sheryl said. “We have touched some many lives and now with the opening of Dakota’s Place next week, we are truly grateful for all we have accomplished.”
“It’s like our mentors, Mark J and the Fabulous Davene have always said, the more you give, the more you get.” Brian adds.
“Our Mountain Pie is here. Let’s eat!”
